Custom
According to dictionary.com, the word custom means, “made specially for individual.”
That definition couldn’t be truer of our custom shop at SWW. Before we begin a piece of furniture or a kitchen, we begin by meeting with the customer and hearing exactly what they need and want.
As the order makes its way through the shop, each piece of wood is hand selected and inspected for quality, integrity, grain and color. Every piece is hand measured and cut to the strictest standard possible.
As the project moves to the finishing stages, each item is sanded with at least three different grits of sandpaper, stain or paint is applied, and the final product is given multiple coats of a final lacquer.
Our shop has worked with red and white Oak, quarter sawn oak, maple, hickory, teak, mahogany, walnut, Lyptus, red and western cedar, heart pine, white and yellow pine, poplar, Brazilian cherry, American cherry, cypress and American chestnut.
We feel our craftsmanship is among the best and don’t mind being compared to others. Our craftsman take great pride in producing heirloom quality products.
A few of the pieces we have produced aside from Kitchens and vanities are, desks, pie safes, tables, book cases, reception areas, corner cabinets, beds, and hutches.
